Travellers Rest ‘Calendar Girls’ shoot for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice

Posted on 24th November 2012 by Mark Tierney

Here is a quick preview of the 'Travellers Rest Calendar Girls' calendar which I have had the pleasure of helping to produce, in aid of a great local charity.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at the Rotherham based  hospice.

Bluebell Wood  gives families the chance to relax, take a break and have fun, and they help support the whole family in times of need.

It costs £3 million every year to offer this support. With no statutory government funding (which is absolutely ridiculous) and without the help of their supporters they simply couldn’t help all these children.

When I was approached by a good friend - Brian Foster who is also a regular visitor to my local pub theTravellers Rest at Brookhouse, and asked to shoot a calendar in aid of Bluebell Wood - I didn't have to think twice! wink

Luckily for me I had 12 willing local ladies and with help from Nathan and Charlotte (the new publicans at the Travellers) and a local farmer, the shoot was great fun.

So please help to support this amazing local charity that only survives through similar fundraising ventures, by purchasing a stylish clalendar with a real gorgeous lady for each month of the year.

To order your own calendar and help Bluebell Wood simply visit the pub itself Travellers Rest at Brookhouse, Rotherham (S25 1YA Tel:01909 562661)

The price of the calendar is £9.99 with all profits going to Bluebell Wood.

Thanks for your support.
