Journalistic / Reportage II
I offer a bespoke approach to reportage photography that will be tailored around your needs and preferences. Whether you're looking to get married in the heart of industrial Sheffield, or you'd like me to capture the mood of your engagement as you stroll through the Peak District, I can help capture your special moments in a flattering and creative manner.
The journalistic or reportage-style photography I provide means I can capture candid moments that aren’t posed and do look entirely natural (because they are!) The people in these galleries are displaying their emotions willingly, without feeling pressured into an awkward and posed shot. They were all happy for me to take their photos unobtrusively and I think you’ll agree the resulting photographs demonstrate the mood of the day more effectively than any amount of staging can produce.
Whether you’d like to see all the moments you missed, that cute thing your kid did when you weren’t watching, or that hilarious near-disaster from a closer vantage point, reportage wedding photography has the power to record memories from all angles.
Please feel free to have a look at the sort of photographs that can result from a photoshoot of a reportage or journalistic nature by perusing the gallery below. This should give you an idea of what’s achievable.
Of course, most bride and grooms choose to have a few posed photos thrown into the mix as well, simply to ensure that they have an image with everybody in it and a few arrangements of their choice. I’m happy to work with you to get the right balance of journalistic photography and posed arrangements of guests. If you see any particular photos that grab your attention, please let me know, as this will give me an idea of the style and mood you might prefer.
