Pheasantry Brewery Wedding - Jess & Ant

Posted on 27th February 2024 by Mark Tierney

Some weddings are kid-friendly, some weddings are full of big kids, and some weddings have a kid right at its centre. Jess and Ant’s wedding at The Pheasantry Brewery in Newark, Nottinghamshire offered all of the above. Their son was the perfect paige boy. He not only enjoyed being a huge part of the ceremony, but also loved playing beanbags and space hoppers with the other kids, many of them big ones!! This was a marriage ceremony and reception that was as fun and full of love, as it was elegant and lit with bright summer sunshine.

With its outdoors gazebo, set against a lush green backdrop, we watched Jess and Ant happily tie the knot before spraying them with confetti. Then, while the guests had drinks, and the games commenced, we took a few family portraits, and some bride and groom photos.

More bride and groom photos were taken later, during the reception, when the newlyweds had a bit more time for us to venture over to some picturesque locations nearby. We found a field full of flowers, rustic brick walls, crop fields, and lots of barrels of beer!

Finally, as day gave way to night, and we got a few more shots as the sun set, it was time to tidy away the games and set the kids (big and little) loose on the dancefloor to burn off any remaining energy. Although the first dance by the bride and groom was a hard act to follow! What a fantastic day! All the very best to Jess and Ant in their new life together.

Thanks to my friend Chris for 2nd shooting for me: Chris Thornton
