Rosie & Luke’s wedding at Peak District Holiday Barn near Buxton was raw, real, and absolutely unforgettable. Set against the rugged backdrop of the Peaks—where they’ve spent countless hours hiking together—it was a day that reflected their love for the outdoors, good company, and doing things their own way.
Rosie’s wedding dress wasn’t just a dress—it was a legacy. Originally her mum’s from the 80s, it had been tweaked just enough to fit the day but kept its vintage soul intact. There’s something powerful about wearing a piece of family history, walking into the future with the past stitched into every seam. And she looked incredible.
When it came to the wine, it wasn’t some generic off-the-shelf selection. It was hand-picked in a proper tasting session at J’Ami Jac, a cracking little wine shop and bar in London owned by a close family friend. And when delivery logistics went sideways? No problem. The owner personally drove the entire stash up from London, going the extra mile—literally. As a final touch, he surprised the couple with custom labels on every bottle, their names and wedding date stamped onto each one. That’s the kind of detail that makes a wedding day stand out.
The venue was exactly what they were after—remote enough to feel special but accessible enough for their people. A no-frills, DIY setup that gave them total control over the day. No package deals, no compromises—just their vision brought to life.
Then came the ceilidh. If you’ve never been to one, imagine a full-blown barn dance with an accordion, mandola, fiddle, guitar, and bass tearing through the air. It’s not about being a great dancer—it’s about getting stuck in, letting loose, and enjoying the madness. And that’s exactly what happened. The floor was packed, the energy was electric, and nobody cared about getting the steps right. It was all about the moment.
As the light faded in the Peaks, the day wound down into one of those weddings that people talk about for years. No fluff, no forced traditions—just great people, great music, and a celebration done right.
Rosie & Luke, your wedding was an absolute belter. Thanks for letting me capture it. Here’s to a lifetime of hikes, campfires, and raising a glass to the good times.
