Every wedding is memorable in its own way, but every so often I get to witness a marriage that really highlights what it’s all about. Jane and Graham’s wedding at Oulton Hall really brought the magic. Their ceremony was filled with so much love and laughter that it lifted the whole occasion through the roof of everyone’s expectations. A truly electric atmosphere and a very special day.
A second shooter was requested for this wedding, and my experienced photographer friend, Gary, was happy to oblige. With two of us on site, we were able to capture both the bride and the groom getting ready.
After the extremely touching exchange of vows, Gary and I took photos of the friends and family congratulating the newly-weds. We then headed out onto the lawns to get some posed shots with family and friendship groups. While Gary was busy getting informal shots of various wedding attendants enjoying the canapés, I took Jane and Graham on a little walk away from the crowds to get some bride and groom portraits. We found a a rustic wall to serve as an effective backdrop.
Back at the hall, the party continued with the wedding breakfast and some very moving speeches. Between us, Gary and I got lots of photos inside, and then outside; including more portraits of the couple by themselves. By the time the light started to fade, it was time to cut the cake and begin the disco. A great time was had by all.
Thanks to my friend Gary for 2nd shooting for me! Team Edwards Photography
