Harriet and Sean’s energetic wedding was one for the record books! This was the first wedding I’ve photographed with an outside ceremony that did not require some sort of roof to be present for the marriage to be legal. The recent law change that made this possible was the one happy result to come out of the Covid pandemic, and the ceremony was beautiful. The sun shone down on everyone, the grounds of Losehill House were lush and green, and the pastoral scene was completed by a field of nearby sheep.
After a truly touching exchange of vows, that certainly couldn’t be dampened by a little rain shower, I headed over to Winnats Pass with the newlyweds to take some bride and groom portraits. The scenery in this part of the Peak District is spectacular, made even more so by the sun lighting the hills around the happy couple. Harriet and Sean were ready for adventure and didn’t mind being coerced up a mini-mountain. As you can see it was well worth it.
This turned out to be the warm-up for more lively fun at the reception. After the meal, both bride and groom successfully got themselves under the limbo, before showing off their moves on the dance floor. The break-dancing was particularly impressive! This was a stunning sunny outdoors wedding that was a lot of dramatic fun. Wedding photos should never be boring! Huge congrats to Harriet and Sean.
