Hodsock Priory - Becky & Lewis

Posted on 4th October 2022 by Mark Tierney

Hodsock Priory, which is famous for its snowdrops and bluebells, provided a dramatic winter backdrop for the wedding of Becky and Lewis. With its traditional red bricks, stormy lake, and cosy interiors, it was the perfect venue for this traditional, and very moving wedding. The couple exchanged their vows in front of elegant displays of yellow roses, and their joy at making this commitment to one another in front of their friends and family was obvious.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom and I took a walk around the grounds to get some bride and groom portraits, in amongst the flowers, and under the big shadowy sky. Following that I took a few group shots inside, with family and friends.

The wedding reception was beautifully decorated with personalised cutlery and champagne glasses. Everyone enjoyed the food, as well as some entertaining speeches. I then took a few more photos of friends and family afterwards, before Becky, Lewis and I went outside again to capture the scenery lit up at night. We managed to capture a cinematic style shot in front of the large tree, before it was time to go back inside, cut the cake and start the dancing. A fantastic time was had by all. All the very best to the newlyweds. I’d like to raise a glass in their honour.
