Emily and Luke tied the knot at St Cuthbert’s church in Rotherham. Their son was in attendance as their Paige boy and the whole ceremony was both elegant, and very touching. Supported by plenty of family and friends, there were few dry eyes among the congregation.
A white Rolls Royce was waiting for them after the couple had been pronounced husband and wife, to take them to the reception venue; Hellaby Hall, which is also in Rotherham.
The weather was warm enough for drinks outside, allowing the kids to run around letting off steam, and for me to arrange some posed family photos. All of this was accompanied by excellent acoustic music by Andrew. I then took a walk with the newlyweds to capture some atmospheric bride and groom portraits.
There would be time for more bride and groom portraits later in the evening, after a very rowdy meal, with some seriously funny speeches. The night ended, not as we feared, with the groomsmen dropping the groom, (although that did happen) but rather, with dancing and celebration. This was a very enjoyable wedding with a super couple at its centre. Emily and Luke, I’d like to wish you all the very best.
