I had a great night last week attending a presentation evening at the Norfolk Arms in the Peak District for the Friends of the Peak District & CPRE South Yorkshire photographic competition.
After winning first prize last year in the South Yorkshire category for my ‘Royds Moor – Whiston” entry, I was keen to enter the competition once again.
I am delighted to say that after entering several pieces of work I won first prize in both the Peak District and South Yorkshire categories for my entries ‘Curbar Bride’ taken at Curbar Edge in The Peak District and ‘Severance’ which was shot in Slade Hooton, Rotherham. I also scooped joint second place for ‘Ulley Reservoir’ and highly commended awards for ‘Flower Girl’ taken in Throapham and ‘Maltby Coal Line’ shot in Brookhouse, Rotherham!
As part of the prize I received both winning photos on large canvasses which I now proudly display in my studio.
My winning entries can be seen below.
The winning entry to the Peak District category was Curbar Bride.
