There was nothing about this wedding that wasn't exceptional! For a start it took place in Wentworth Woodhouse, the UK's largest residence, which is twice the size of Buckingham Palace and once belonged to the man who is said to have inspired the infamous Jane Austen character; Mr Darcy. Think Georgian grandeur, think classic romance and there you have Stace and Henry's wedding in a nutshell.
Musicians playing in the atrium as the guests arrived for the ceremony, set the elegant mood of the day and as the couple tied the knot at their Christmas marriage, they managed to fill the enormous room with both laughter and tears. With Stace in a long veil and stunning, traditional dress, she really could have landed the part of Elizabeth in the gothic romance saga Pride and Prejudice. It was also clear from their obvious connection that Henry was indeed Stace's very own Mr Darcy.
We took a few photos outside, in the sunset and in the company of a very small dog, before moving indoors for some fine dining. The speeches had everyone in stitches and just before it was time to cut the superb snowflake-themed cake, I managed to steal the newly weds away for a few couple shots in the surrounding rooms. Luckily we didn't get too lost!
I'd like to raise a glass to the very happy couple, who were an absolute delight to photograph. The rooms at Wentworth may be stunning, but this couple certainly succeeded in outshining them. Wishing you all the very best, Stace and Henry!
