Fischer’s Baslow Hall, Peak District - Emily & Neil

Posted on 20th November 2015 by Mark Tierney

Emily and Neil's intimate and romantic wedding took place on a beautiful autumn day at Fischer's Baslow Hall in the Peak District. There was a laid back atmosphere and it was very obvious, from their relaxed poses, that everybody present had a great time.

This was a mid-week wedding and I'd only been booked for a couple of hours, so it was important for me to make the most of the time available. After a bit of initial frolicking in the flower garden, the groom and his men made their way to the ceremony room to await Emily's arrival. The bride looked stunning and managed to coax a few tears out of friends and family during the very moving exchange of vows.

Baslow Hall provides a cosy, rustic setting for a marriage. Following the ceremony I took a few photos of the couple with their guests and then took the newly-weds on a walk along the tree-lined paths to make the most of the glorious blue skies and late summer sunshine.

It seemed to clear to me and, I think, everyone there, that Emily and Neil make a terrific couple. Every part of their marriage was utterly charming, including the wedding cake which appeared to be a true labour of love! I'd like to wish the happy couple all the very best and remind anybody interested in hiring me for their wedding, that I'm available for short weddings during the week.
