Chesterfield Baptist Church & Whitley Hall - Becca & James

Posted on 15th February 2019 by Mark Tierney

Becca and James’s joyful wedding ceremony took place at the Chesterfield Baptist Church. The couple tied the knot in front of delighted friends and family. Arriving in style, in a VW Camper van, Becca walked up a white, personalised aisle to meet her bridegroom. The marriage was accompanied by musicians, lots of singing and a very moving exchange of rings.

After the official papers had been signed and the confetti had been thrown, I took some photographs of the newlyweds, beside their camper van.

The reception venue was Whitley Hall in Sheffield and the dining room was decorated beautifully, with elegant white linens and a starlight backdrop behind the top table.

It was still warm enough for everyone to enjoy drinks outside, in the lush green grounds before the meal. I photographed some bride and groom portraits amongst the trees, the leaves of a few of them having already started to turn brown, given that it was September.

Following the meal and the emotional toasts, we went outside again to get some more couple shots. It was dark by then and the hall was lit up.

This very happy day ended with a disco, a singer, and everyone present throwing their moves on the dance floor. It was very clear a good time was had by all. I was thrilled to have played my part in this wedding and I’d like to raise my own toast to Becca and James; to wish this special couple all the best.
