For a sophisticated, sunshine-filled wedding, full of foliage and a Victorian vintage vibe, allow me to present Colette and Scott's big day, which took place at the botanical gardens in Sheffield. Guests were greeted by a string quartet as they entered the beautiful glasshouse for the ceremony. Standing there, amongst a variety of huge leaves, waiting for the bride to make her entrance up the green carpet, there was plenty to look at and a lovely earthy smell.
It was a touchingly romantic marriage, which was followed by an atmospheric reception at The Chimney House. Given the attention to detail, it was clear this was a couple filled with love, not just for each other, but for those sharing their special day as well.
Between ceremony and reception we managed to a get few shots of the bride and groom alone together. It made sense to take full advantage of the beautiful vintage bus they'd hired, before heading off for the candlelit wedding breakfast. Immediately after the meal, we were treated to the entertainment and by that I mean the best man's speech. I go to a lot of weddings, but I think this had to be one of the genuinely funniest speeches I've ever been fortunate enough to hear.
The day ended, as every great day should, with kisses by the dirty end! I had a tremendous time and I'm sure all the guests would agree with me. I'd like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to both Scott and Colette.
