A Winter Wedding at Wortley Hall in Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Posted on 3rd December 2009 by Mark Tierney

This is Jade and Lee’s winter wedding at Wortley Hall in Barnsley. I’ve been very lucky this year with the weather, because I haven’t had one wet wedding up to this point. However, Jade and Lee’s wedding was very wet and it rained most of the day. The rain didn’t stop us from going outside though; with the aid of umbrellas I captured Jade and Lee in the gardens at Wortley Hall. When it finally stopped raining I managed to capture some night scenes and one new type of wedding shot. If you check the last image out you will see what I mean. It’s called light painting - I created the heart with a torch and it wasn’t done in Photoshop!

You can see more of Jade and Lee’s Wedding photographs on the English Weddings blog. English-Wedding.com is a wedding blog with a theme. It’s a place to get wedding inspiration. It’s for sharing your big day, or if you’re a wedding photographer or supplier it’s for showing off your proudest moments! It’s for brides, grooms, bridesmaids and fathers of brides – if you’re involved in an English wedding, go and and explore the site.
