Caroline and Adi’s incredibly picturesque Yorkshire wedding was set against a backdrop of brightly lit dales, country roads and plenty of sheep. After a very moving ceremony at Steeton church, we spilled out into the church grounds for more photos.
The reception was held at the Craven Arms Cruck Barn; a rustic venue with a thatched roof. We had a few canapés in the sun before I took the newlyweds on their first trek of the day. We walked past stone walls and up hills, but with such amazing scenery and the fact that we were blessed with such beautiful weather, it would've been a shame not to make the most of the landscape. I'd like to say thank you to Caroline and Adi for humouring me! Just when it looked like we weren't going to go any higher, I managed to persuade them to walk just a little further. It was worth it though!
Back at the reception venue we collected our ice screams from the ye olde ice cream stand and took them over to the wedding tipi. There were lots of lovely touches like that at the venue. It was clear a huge effort has gone into organising the day. After that, the second set of couple shots took us through the woods where the trees were glowing green in the glorious light. The day ended back at the venue, with dancing and a band. This was a marriage which was memorable, not just for its rural setting, but also it's incredible atmosphere. I'd like to raise a glass to Caroline and Adi for being an inspiration to us all.
