Peak District Wedding Photography, Derbyshire,Dore Church, Sheffield & Hassop Hall - Sarah & Simone

Posted on 27th April 2011 by Mark Tierney

Here are some of my favourite images from Simone and Sarah’s wedding day. The couple were married at Dore church on a beautiful spring day followed by a reception at the stunning Hassop Hall in Derbyshire. The happy couple who live in Belgium, chose Sarah’s home village of Dore in Sheffield to confirm their nuptials and what better location for their wedding celebration than the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District! The wedding party including Simone’s Italian family, travelled to Hassop Hall in style, on a vintage bus courtesy of the Yorkshire Heritage Bus Company.

The historic Hall which dates back over 900 years has some of the most spectacular gardens that are perfect for creative wedding photography, including a walled Italian garden complete with its own fountain and statues. It also boasts some of the most beautifully manicured lawns and borders that makes this venue quite unique. Simone and Sarah were more than happy to stroll around the grand estate enjoying the spring sun while their guests made a toast to their union.
As the time came for the speeches there was much frivolity and enthusiasm and I can honestly say this was the first time I had photographed a wedding where they were performed in both the Italian and English dialogue.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed photographing them!
