Wentworth Castle Wedding Photography - Louise & Tim

Posted on 28th September 2015 by Mark Tierney

Louise and Tim's beautiful wedding at Wentworth Castle in Barnsley combined the best of indoors and outdoors to great effect. The ceremony took place in the warm botanical glasshouse amidst plenty of fine foliage, on a day which threatened and then actually delivered a few light downpours. Thankfully however, the grey weather had no impact on the mood of the day. I'm in no doubt that Louise and Tim would still have beamed at one another happily, had they been exchanging rings outside in the drizzle! It was a very touching sight, the bride and groom so pleased to be reciting their marriage vows.

The rain held off long enough to drink at least one glass of pimms outside afterwards, as well as play a bit of cricket and throw a large parachute up and down (which the kids loved.) I managed to take the photos out on the lawns and a few couple shots against the castle, featuring a wedding umbrella.

A few pictures of the newlyweds were then taken in the darkening glasshouse before the dancing began. The wedding bands livened up the night, starting slowly at first, before building the dance floor into a frenzy by the end of the day. It was clear everybody had had a really fun time. Many congratulations to the happy couple!
