Waterton Park & Walton Hall - Claire & Graeme

Posted on 8th April 2015 by Mark Tierney

Claire and Graeme's wedding at Waterton Park in Wakefield couldn't have been more romantic if they'd tried! Their venue, surrounded by water and accessible over a bridge, definitely had the wow factor. It was beautiful ceremony, with more than a few happy tears. The mood, in fact, was so romantic that the bridegroom was even moved to place a smacker on the lips of his best man later in the day, although there might have been beer involved in that decision!

An exquisite reception followed the ceremony and in the brief time between the two, we took a few shots outside, surrounded by the incredible array of autumn colours. It's plain to see why Claire and Graeme are together. They seem very natural and at ease with one another and this comes across in the photos too. At a venue as picturesque as this, it would have been a shame not to get full photographic mileage out of it, which is why we headed out again after dark, after we'd all recovered from the best man's toast joke, in order to capture the magical atmosphere and all the pretty lights reflected in the water.

This was a picture perfect wedding, but it was also much, much more than that. I'd like to wish this lovely, loving couple all the very best, in their new life together.
