Hathersage Church & The Plough Inn, Peak District - Ruth & Anthony

Posted on 14th September 2014 by Mark Tierney

Anthony and Ruth's beautiful rural wedding was set against the most stunning backdrop. The rolling hills, and stone cliffs of Hathersage in the Peak District were impressive enough on their own, but when you add the marquee venue with its indoor woodland theme into the mix, you've got yourself a setting with a double wow factor!

This stylish bride and groom were married at a ceremony at Hathersage Church, before being whisked away in their vintage car to the grounds of the Plough Inn for the reception. The whole day was a lot of fun. There was a serious amount of laughter, as well as the odd happy tear as well. It was great event in which to be involved and it was obvious that everybody who attended had a fantastic time.

There were a couple of highlights I simply have to mention. The first was the brilliantly enthusiastic bouquet toss. Congrats to the worthy winner, commiserations to the participant who ended up on the floor! Better luck next time. The second was the late night dance floor shenanigans. You threw some crazy shapes out there people, but you knew what you were doing (I think... ) and you nailed it. Incredible stuff! All the very best to Anthony and Ruth. You guys are so very clearly meant to be together!
