Emma & Matt’s Wedding, Ulley Church, & The Charnwood Hotel, Blyth, Worksop

Posted on 16th January 2011 by Mark Tierney

Here is a selection of my favourite images from the wedding of Emma and Matt taken by my wife and myself.

The happy couple were married on a beautiful sunny autumn day at the picturesque church in Emma's Mum's home village of Ulley near Rotherham. The wedding day celebrations continued at the Charnwood Hotel at Blyth which is one of my favourite local wedding venues.

The bridal transport was in the form of a classic vintage VW campervan courtesy of 'Dubtails' whose chauffer John was kind enough to let me photograph his pride and joy! The Charnwood also houses it's own helicopter landing pad and to our amazement we saw not one but two helicopters landing at the hotel while the pilots' called in for a spot of lunch! It was certainly a first for me to capture a helicopter in my wedding photography.

Later in the evening Emma's parents surprised the newly-weds with a stunning firework display within the hotel grounds which was then followed by an emotional first dance. Emma and Matt's wedding day was very enjoyable and here are my favourites from their special day.

We cannot thank you enough for the beautiful pictures you have given us and the memories that you have captured in our album. You have been so easy to work with and so professional. We cant believe the amount of photos that were taken without us even realising you were there. We would recommend you to anyone.
