Lauren and Mark's September wedding at Wentworth Castle was a joyous occasion. It was clear bride and groom were determined to have fun, an infectious approach that ensured everyone who attended had a great time.
Upon seeing the paper hearts lining the garden path to the ceremony room, it was obvious that this marriage would be filled with beautifully original and quirky touches, my favourite being a wedding cake constructed entirely of chocolate crispies! I also loved the sentiment behind the wedding rings being joined together with twine (even if a pair of scissors had to be produced during the ceremony to separate them.)
The touching ceremony itself, with its many emotional moments, took place in the glasshouse. There were drinks and canapés outside to follow, which everyone enjoyed to the accompaniment of some live guitar music. I took a few family shots here and on a nearby lawn. When the bridesmaids danced in a line, the sun finally broke through the cloud.
The majority of the couple shots I took a little later, when the newly weds and I went for a walk around the stunning gardens. As it was the beginning of September, the flower garden was still in full bloom and we got some very colourful photos.
As a great day turned into an energetic evening, everybody seemed particularly taken with a Mark's uncles tractor we found on the grounds. We took a few photos outside and then it was time for the disco which was luminous with glow sticks. Lauren and Mark are a very special couple and I'd like to wish them all the very best.
