Wentworth Castle Wedding Photography, Barnsley, South Yorkshire - Lucy & Patrick

Posted on 11th October 2010 by Mark Tierney

Here is one of my favourite weddings I have photographed so far. Lucy & Patricks wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful Wentworth Church in Rotherham. Lucy kept with the tradition of being late, 30 minutes late, lol. Unfortunately one of the bridesmaid dresses was damaged and the mother of the bride had to sew the dress up. The mode of transport for the bride was her father’s 1947 vintage American hotrod, it certainly didn’t look 63 years old! After the ceremony the bridal party travelled the short distance to the wedding reception. It is very rare you that you go to a wedding venue where it is so big you have to drive around on a golf buggy, but Wentworth Castle in Barnsley is certainly one of those places and I loved it! There were so many photo opportunities with very impressive backdrops for Lucy & Patrick. Lucy frequently takes her children to the play area at Wentworth Castle gardens, and the fun loving bride had already decided to try out the zip wire, in her wedding dress! Now that was something I have never seen before! Here are many of my favourite images from Lucy & Patrick’s special day.

Lucy & Patrick's wedding has also been featured on one of the UK’s top 10 wedding blogs - English Wedding smile
