Verity and Tom's wedding, which took place at the Victorian conservatory attached to Wentworth Castle in Barnsley, was one of the most child-friendly marriages I've ever had the privilege to photograph. There were croquet hoops, noise-makers, masks, crazy hats and even a dance floor covered in foam matting. However, it wasn't just the kids who had a good time. With such a brilliantly laid-back atmosphere, the couple tied the knot amidst plenty of smiles in their beautifully ornate surroundings. There was a lot of love contained within those glass walls!
Between the conservatory and the marquee I managed to take a few shots of bride and groom together on the perfectly manicured lawns. Plenty of sunshine lit up the day and a cornucopia of colour was provided by the spectacular summer flowers.
Following an athletic bouquet toss, we headed into the marquee for the reception, where the stylish button and jam jar-filled décor complemented the wedding's shabby chic theme. Their gorgeous black Labrador also needs a mention given that the dog featured both on the place cards and the cake.
I loved the relaxing ambience that Verity and Tim had managed to create. They are obviously a very calm, charismatic couple with a focus firmly on fun. They didn't even seem to mind when their romantic first dance gave way to a troupe of little ones wielding inflatable hammers. Hats off to you - it was a great day all round. All the best for the future!
