It was a beautiful sunny day for Kayla and Dan’s Spring wedding at Waterton Park in Wakefield. The blossom-filled branches of nearby trees made for a picturesque backdrop and the grass was dry enough for guests to sit on as they soaked up the rays.
The ceremony was a very moving occasion. The bride approached the venue via a bridge over the lake with her bridesmaids before making her way down the aisle. Once facing one another, it was clear to everyone that Kayla and Dan were going to be very happy together. The exchange of vows was a heart-warming and smiley experience for all.
I took photos outside on the lawns in the sunshine after that; a mixture of reportage and posed shots to capture the mood of the big day. Then followed the bride and groom portraits, using the lake as a stunning backdrop. The couple’s children also joined us for a few of them, creating some lovely family memories, given that we were all caught up in the excitement of the uniqueness of the moment!
When it was time for the meal, the guests sat down at the thoughtfully decorated tables, ate, made merry and listened to the speeches. The day ended with a disco. Friends and family, adults and children, all piled onto the dance floor to burn off their excess energy and have a great time. I’d like to raise a glass to Kayla and Dan and wish them all the very best in their future together.
