Upper Chapel & The Cricket Inn, Sheffield - Marie-Anne & Joe

Posted on 11th September 2017 by Mark Tierney

Some weddings are very simply filled with beautiful people having a great time. Marie- Anne and Joe's wedding was one such occasion. From the moment the ceremony began, it was clear this is a couple who thoroughly enjoy one another's company. Watched by friends and family, they tied the knot, smiling the whole time. You couldn't help but feel very happy for them!

Outside the Upper Chapel, where the ceremony took place, the congregation formed two very long straight lines and proceeded to throw confetti at the newlyweds. We took a few more photos here, both of the couple on their own and a few posed shots of wedding guests, before it was time to make our way over to the reception venue; The Cricket Inn.

A beautiful marquee in the grounds was where the wedding breakfast take place, but before everyone took their seats, there were drinks outside on the lawns. Although the day wasn't the best weather-wise, the sun finally decided to put in an appearance, when a cricket match nearby started.

Two things stood out during the reception meal. The personal attention to detail regarding the uniquely creative table decorations - this is a couple who think the world of those who came to help them celebrate their big day - and the dancing! There was a lot of dancing! It was refreshing to see a group of people who were determined to express themselves on the dance floor, no matter what.

There was a vibrant party mood throughout the evening. I think it was a stroke of luck that I managed to grab a few more bride and groom portraits outside as the sun was setting a little earlier on, before the limbo dancing started - the limbo bar was very low! A great time was had by all and I'd like to raise a glass in congratulations to Marie-Anne and Joe.
