Tina and Stephen’s Wedding Photography - Langdale Chase Hotel, Windermere, Lake District

Posted on 20th July 2010 by Mark Tierney

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to photograph Tina and Stephen’s wedding in the beautiful English Lake District. They were married at the Langdale Chase hotel which boasts panoramic and inspirational views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains. It was a very small wedding with only 19 people but very enjoyable. After the wedding breakfast we all went on a boat trip around the picturesque Lake Windermere. The boat set off from the hotel’s own jetty, one of my favourite shots from the day was taken on the same jetty. This particular shot was taken high up from the roof of the boat house, combining wedding and landscape photography.

You will notice some changes to my website in the coming weeks and that’s because I’m having a brand new website and blog – and Stephen is the web designer! Stephen and I both follow each other on Twitter and when he asked me if I would photograph his wedding for the exchange of his services I jumped at the chance! So if you are looking for a web designer take a look at his website, www.zestwebdesign.com and my website in a couple of weeks!

Social networking is a great way to get yourself known in your field or industry. Through Twitter I have had my wedding photography featured on some of the country’s best wedding blogs i.e. Boho Weddings and Events, English Weddings, Rock n’Roll Bride and I will soon have a brand new website and blog because of Twitter! smile Stephen’s Twitter username is @sm9 and mine is @tierneyPhoto.

Here is a selection of my favourite images from Tina and Stephen’s wedding in the stunning Lake District.
