Stockport Church & Common Barn Farm Wedding - Sophie & Liam

Posted on 3rd August 2016 by Mark Tierney

Sophie and Liam's wedding was a photographer’s dream come true. Colourful and ornate, it included a stunning couple, their beautiful friends and a picture perfect backdrop complete with a tipi. This was a big day that stood out from the crowd. Even the sun agreed, by clearing up after a wet start and making sure that everyone was warm enough.

Given the attention to detail in the decorations, the outfits and thoughtful little gestures on the wedding tables, it would be easy to focus on the incredible aesthetics of the occasion. However, that would be doing an injustice to the emotions of the day. The whole wedding was happy, joyous and very friendly.

The day kicked off in Stockport Church, where the amount of anticipation, before the bride made her big entrance, was palpable. There was a lot of love in the room. I think a lot of people dabbed away a few tears, not just because the ceremony was so moving, but also because it was clear to everyone just crazy about each other Sophie and Liam are.

The reception was held at Common Barn Farm amidst a lot of rustic signage and some glorious wedding cakes. Superbly rural, this countryside setting only served to further heighten the mood. Needless to say, with such generous, fun loving hosts, a great time was had by all. I would like to raise a glass in honour of the newlyweds and wish them all the very best.
