Sabrina and Payam managed to pull off one of those rarest and most precious events; an outdoor wedding ceremony in England! The weather held up, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the happy couple exchanged their vows in the fresh air with an exquisitely romantic setting to boot!
The big day took place at Cambridge's Sidney Sussex College, a venue which is steeped in history, culture and the kind of academic inspiration that only places of great learning can provide.
A harpist and a flautist played the guests out on the ceremonial lawn, before Sabrina made her stunning entrance and a beautiful exchange of vows ensued. Afterwards there was Pimms and congratulations in the grassy quad. I took some shots of family and friends, both formal and informal, before the newly-weds and I took off to some of the quieter gardens for a photo shoot among the glorious flowers and grasses.
Once the couple shots were complete, the wedding breakfast took place inside the college with long tables carefully arranged. Sabrina and Payam received a hearty cheer when they entered the room as husband and wife for the first time.
We managed a few more couple shots outside after the sun went down, without causing too much disruption to proceedings. The romantically lit columns made for a great backdrop. A great time was had by all. I'd like to raise a glass to the happy couple and wish them all the best.
