You know you've been to an exceptional wedding, when it spans 6 months of the year and involves three, equally exquisite bridal gowns! Dana and Danny's wedding was one of the most ornately beautiful occasions I've been privileged to photograph. It kicked off in April with a small, intimate ceremony at Sheffield Town Hall. This dealt with the legalities of the marriage. On this glorious spring day, framed with an abundance of cherry blossom, we took plenty of shots of the newly weds beside the city fountains and under the blossom trees themselves. It was crazy, quirky, romantic and lots of fun.
The second part of the wedding took place in September, with a ceremony at the very grand Selby Abbey. Many friends and family were present to congratulate the happy couple and help them celebrate. Once the vows had been exchanged, I took a few photos of Danny and Dana in and around the incredible architectural feats of the Abbey, before heading over to Carlton Towers where the reception was to be held.
If you're not familiar with Carlton Towers, this Victorian Gothic house, is decorated very opulently and is the perfect setting for an incredibly glamorous wedding such as this one, but despite the beauty of the backdrop, it was clear that family, friends and the commitment they had made were the most important aspects of Dana and Danny's celebration. There was feasting, plenty of speeches and dancing. We took formal shots, not-so formal shots and some couple shots of the bride and groom around the house. This was a particularly memorable wedding and I genuinely wish Dana and Danny all the very best for their lives together.
