Some couples make my job very easy. Gina and Jack are an effortlessly handsome couple who spent their entire wedding day gazing happily at one another, their big day at Scofton church and Hemswell court was a pleasure to photograph.
Little personal touches made the day extra special. These included the groomsmen's yellow socks matching the bouquets and a pair of Dalmatians on the top of the wedding cake, an homage to Gina's actual Dalmatian, who looked very happy rolled up in the bottom of the bridal gown in the morning, before the wedding party had left the house.
After the ceremony I took a few formal photos outside the church against dramatically dark skies, but luckily the weather brightened considerably by the time we got to Hemswell Court. There we walked around the manicured gardens with it is topiary and late blooming flowers in the sunshine before heading inside for the reception. There was even a colourful sunset to enjoy a bit later on, when we headed out to the cornfields for a few extra couple shots.
Back at the disco, the newlyweds cut the cake and hit the dance floor, leading their friends and family into the evening celebrations. It was a joyful occasion with some very memorable moments and I'd like to wish Gina and Jack all the very best.
