Some weddings shimmer in the memory, while others shine out brightly. Kelly and Sean's colourful and truly beautiful wedding was definitely a shiner! There was romance, there was laughter (and a few tears!), there were careful little touches and there were very cute children performing their wedding attendant roles perfectly! What a brilliant day!
It began in earnest when Kelly made her entrance at Perlethorpe Church. The couple waved in greeting to the gathered family and friends before commencing the ceremony accompanied by very talented musicians. It was a very picturesque occasion. Afterwards everyone gathered in the grounds for some group photographs.
Some couple shots followed and luckily Kelly was wearing the perfect shoes for a stroll through the greenery! A reception took place at Thoresby Courtyard after that. There was a cheese wheel to suit savoury tastes and a candy cart for those with a sweeter tooth. Everyone had a great time!
As the day grew dark, the last tears were wiped from emotional eyes following the father of the bride speech and we finally all stopped giggling at the Best Man's gallery of Sean through the ages. I took the newlyweds outside to take a few photos of just the two of them. There was an enormous illuminated 'Love' sign outside the venue, which lit up the courtyard, but to be honest, the way Sean and Kelly looked at one another, it was clear no sign was needed to show what today was all about. This is a couple who seem completely in sync and it was an honour to help them document their tying of the sacred knot. I'd like to wish them all the very best. I'm in no doubt at all that they'll be very happy together.
