Nether Green Methodist Church & The Florentine, Sheffield - Rebecca & Liam

Posted on 14th February 2017 by Mark Tierney

Everyone hopes they'll be on cloud 9 on their wedding day and thanks to a weather phenomenon in Hope Valley on their big day, Rebecca and Liam achieved it - both physically and metaphorically! It was an amazing sight, I’ve never seen the Peak District looking so beautiful!

The ceremony took place at Nether Green Methodist Church in front of the Christmas tree and was very moving. It began when an attentive nephew signalled to Uncle Liam that the bride's arrival was imminent. What made it extra special was the involvement of Rebecca's father, an ex-minister.

Afterwards the couple headed off for Stanage Edge in the Peak District in their convertible VW Beetle, which is where we took the incredible cloud pictures.

With the winter sun shining down on us, we then headed for the reception venue; The Florentine in Sheffield. Long tables were laid out with stylish crackers which everyone enjoyed pulling ahead of the meal. Another highlight of the room that deserves a mention was the impressive cake table. The speeches were very moving; to tears and then laughter, so everyone was in joyous mood as the evening gave way to dancing. It was a beautiful, friendly wedding that took place in two counties and I'd like to wish Rebecca and Liam all the very best in their future together.
