Lumley Castle Wedding - James & Sarah

Posted on 27th February 2017 by Mark Tierney

We saw some magic happen in the Scarborough Suite of Lumley Castle for Sarah and James's wedding! In this gloriously grand venue, amidst the candlesticks and glassware, Sarah and James exchanged their vows and filled the room with a lot of love.

There was hardly a dry eye at the ceremony (although some of those tears might have been due to the hilarious antics of the couple son's and tiny paige boy, who was a bit of a show stealer!)

Afterwards we headed outside into the glorious hazy sunlight for some group shots and then some photos of the couple on their own. We took a walk through the beautiful grounds and had a lovely time.

The wedding breakfast was held in a huge hall and was carefully decorated to honour the couple's snowflake theme. The fun-loving paige boy ate his meal happily with his own entertainment screen provided (until that got lightsabered!)

Speeches followed and it was clear this was a couple about whom all the guests felt fondly. There was a great atmosphere. I managed to steal the newlyweds away again afterwards for a few photos in, around and outside the castle by themselves, before it was time for a magnificent fire show.

The wedding of Sarah and James was everything a wedding should be; romantic, fun, meaningful and moving. I'd like to wish them all the very best.
