Hodsock Priory Wedding - Emma & Karl

Posted on 28th February 2016 by Mark Tierney

Emma and Karl's wedding was blessed from the start. The winter sun lit up Hodsock Priory, one of my favourite venues to photograph, and bathed it in soft light. Inside, the hall was decorated in navy and white with stags, snowflakes and a tiny Spiderman, but as beautiful as the setting was, it paled in comparison to the powerful connection between bride and groom; Emma and Karl. There was an incredible amount of love between those four walls and we couldn't help but get caught up in it. Everybody was very happy and smiley.

After the ceremony, I took the couple outside for some photographs of just the two of them, asking them to pose next to the beautiful snowdrops and lake. After a meal and speeches, the newlyweds, their friends and family hit the dancefloor. There was really no need to remind everyone what they needed here in 2m high letters, because I feel sure they would have danced the night away anyway! A great time was had by all. Please raise your glasses and help me toast the very happy couple.
