Handsworth Church & Mosborough Hall - Kate & Ashley

Posted on 14th March 2017 by Mark Tierney

Kate and Ashley's wedding at Handsworth Church, and later at Mosborough Hall, was a traditional, family-orientated occasion with superheroes. In a meaningful setting, surrounded by bright colours, the couple exchanged their vows before their loved ones. What made the ceremony for me, however, was the look they gave one another as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife. It's amazing how much emotion one look can convey!

Nature also appeared caught up in these events, wanting only to please. The autumn sunshine was beautiful, if a little chilly, and we managed to take all the group shots outside, including a picture of the presentation of the wedding horseshoe.

Following the ceremony, Kate slipped on a bridal coat and headed off to the reception venue with her husband, only to be met with a celebratory confetti showering on the way in. The hall was decorated with tree-named tables, pumpkins, colourful flowers and candy bar. The Tree stump wedding cake deserves a special mention as it looked too good to eat.

Before the wedding breakfast began, I took a few photos of the couple on their own in the grounds. The light held out and it remained a beautiful day. Food, speeches, cake cutting and an impressive first dance ended the day, but perhaps the most memorable part of the evening's entertainment was when Spiderman and his pal showed up to disrupt the dancefloor. A truly warmhearted big day! I'd like to wish the newlyweds all the very best.

Thanks to Gav Harrison for 2nd shooting for me!
