Cleethorpes Church & Laceby Manor Golf Club - Chelsea & Mark

Posted on 2nd February 2016 by Mark Tierney

Chelsea and Mark were married at Cleethorpes Church on a wet but very happy day. The bride made a dramatic entrance in her finery, but it was clear from the very beginning of the day that another member of the wedding party was determined not to let the marrying couple get all the attention. Their tiny bridesmaid made sure everybody got to see her in her new dress as she walked proudly up the aisle and then later drew more admiring looks as she dragged a chair up the aisle for a better view of proceedings. Clearly a star in the making!

After a moving ceremony, the newly weds climbed into their vintage car and headed over to the reception venue; Laceby Manor Golf Club. I took some photos in the cosily lit rooms before the guests took their seats for the meal and the speeches. I did manage to persuade Chelsea and Mark to brave the rain with me for a few couple shots outside and took some more photos, both of them under the wooden gazebo, and walking across a very wet bridge over the river.

The couple's first dance deserves a special mention, because it was so moving. Everybody cried! Later still, as night fell, the rain finally stopped and I was able to take a few photos in the beautifully lit grounds of the Manor House. I'd like to wish Chelsea and Mark all the very best. It was a memorable marriage for lots of different reasons and I'm honoured to have been part of it.
