Sheffield City Hall was the beautiful venue for Jennifer and Nico's wedding. The couple live in Paris, but as Jennifer is originally from Sheffield, Nico's friends and family travelled over from France for the occasion. The marriage ceremony took place at the Cathedral Church of St Marie and Jennifer wore a stunning V-necked dress with plenty of ruffles and va va voom.
After the ceremony, the wedding party made their way past admiring onlookers to their reception venue. Sheffield City Hall had been decorated to tie in with the couple's jubilee teaparty theme and drinks and nibbles were served under Union Jack bunting. The bunting looked very striking as it hung from the high ceilings, artfully highlighting the rustic features down below. The wedding features included a bike decorated with flowering pot plants and a garden table and chair set beside hydrangeas. Their role was to bring the English Summer garden inside for Jennifer and Nico's big day. A nice touch.
A wedding breakfast was served more formally, in an elegant dining room, with a midnight blue colour scheme. A French-English dictionary was a thoughtful detail, placed beside each menu to helpfully inform the French guests what they would be eating!
The evening ended with a bang, well, in fact, a few of them! Not only was the cake illuminated with some elaborate pyrotechnic action, but there was an indoor firework spectacular to entertain the guests as well. Nico and two friends had set it up earlier in the day in order to bring the day to a sparkling finish.
