Bolsterstone Church & Cubley Hall Wedding Photography - Clare & Andrew

Posted on 2nd July 2014 by Mark Tierney

Lights, camera, action! Clare and Andrew's very glamorous vintage wedding took place in such grand venues that they wouldn't have looked out of place on a film set. The whole day started at Bolsterstone Church, before moving on to Cubley Hall in Barnsley. Much of this beautiful wedding was reminiscent of an old-style Hollywood movie, thanks to this photogenic couple and their guests

After a touching ceremony and thoroughly joyous greeting of friends and family, bride and groom stole a moment together to sip champagne in the back of their vintage wheels. This allowed them a bit of a breather before we took a walk across the fields in heels. (Clare was in heels – Not Andrew or I, if you were wondering!). I wanted to get a few shots in the dramatic country landscape, against the impossibly blue sky. Despite the apparent emptiness of the area, there was a lot of love in the air. The moment the newly-weds kissed on the deserted bandstand would have been the moment captured for the movie poster (had this wedding been a film!) Clare and Andrew clearly have a lot of chemistry.

Back at the reception the guests were treated to two cakes; one sweet and one savoury, although I have to say, they both looked too good to eat. The speeches were a huge highlight of the day and if you weren't there to witness them yourself, Clare's expression says it all. Andrew's speech was incredibly moving and the best man's speech was incredibly...well, risqué!! The day was completed with a ceilidh, which was a fitting finale to such a visual treat of a wedding.
