I have been shortlisted again this time in the location flash category of The Professional Photographer of The Year 2012 competition. The image of my daughter was taken on the sand dunes in Feurteventura. This is the third time I have been commended/shortlisted
My photograph of Sam & Matt on their Wedding day taken at Whitley Hall in Sheffield has won the 'Photo of the week' on UK's largest online photography magazine ePHOTOzine It is the second time I have won it, that means another large canvas to hang on my studio wall

My image of Joanna in her red wedding dress ‘Windswept Bride’ has won the Photo of the Week on ePhotozine, UK’s largest online Magazine. As part of the prize I received the winning photo on a large canvas which I now proudly display in my studio. You can view more Rock the Dress images here.
One of my images I entered in the Professional Photographer of The Year 2009 has won a commended award. The image was entered in the editorial category and was taken on Stanage Edge in the Peak District. I captured the movement of two mountain bikers riding along the gritstone rocks. After winning first prize last year in the Friends of the Peak District's, South Yorkshire category for my 'Royds Moor - Whiston'' entry, I was keen to enter the competition once again. I am delighted to say that after entering several pieces of work I won first prize in both the Peak District and South Yorkshire categories for my entries 'Curbar Bride' (Trash the Dress) taken at Curbar Edge in The Peak District and 'Severance' (Landscape) which was shot in Slade Hooton, Rotherham. I also scooped joint second place for 'Ulley Reservoir' and highly commended awards for 'Flower Girl' taken in Throapham and 'Maltby Coal Line' shot in Brookhouse, Rotherham!
As part of the prize I received both winning photos on large canvasses which I now proudly display in my studio. My winning entries can be seen on my blog here.

One of my images was Highly commended by the judges and awarded a place both in the awards book and as an exhibition print at London's National Theatre. It was also the 'Judge's choice' image of John Langley, the Manager of the National Theatre. The exhibition ran from 18th November 2008 until the 17th January 2009.The image in the exhibition and book was 'Spurn Point Light House' situated on the north bank of the entrance to the River Humber, Yorkshire - England.
I won a Highly Commended Award in the Rotherham Open Art Show 2009 for my Lime Tree Avenue photograph taken at Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. The competition was open to both professional and amateur artists, who were born or who have lived in South Yorkshire.
I was shortlisted in the Landscape category of The Professional Photographer of The Year 2008 competition. The image 'Vanishing Point' was taken at Ponce Inlet near Daytona, Florida.
My image of Royds Moor, Whiston has been selected by the Judges as the overall winner in the Secret South Yorkshire Category. The judges comments were "the panel were extremely impressed by the quality of light captured together with the strong composition which they felt lead the viewers through the picture". This image will be featured on their website and in forthcoming publications.
Good news, I won 3rd place in ePHOTOzine's Ultimate Landscape competition. The photo I entered was Fading Light taken at Dunstanburgh Castle in Northumberland. The prize for taking 3rd place is a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate worth nearly £300
