Edale Primary School Royal Wedding, Peak District, Derbyshire, England

I am pleased to be able to share with you my most recent wedding shoot with a Royal twist.  Sadly the happy couple are not William and Kate but the very charming pupils of Edale Primary School in Derbyshire with their own mock Royal wedding!

Lisa Hilliard who is a successful Derbyshire wedding planner was approached by the school to help in the planning of their Royal wedding and, amongst other duties was assigned the task of finding the photographer. I was verry happy to land the role of Royal wedding photographer on this exciting day!

My role started as usual with the bridal preparations, throughout the ceremony at Edale Church with their very own vicar! The wedding party congregated in the church grounds for the traditional group shots and there was even a little time for me to get creative with the newly-weds. This was followed by a wedding breakfast back at the school where no detail was spared and the celebrations included decorations, favours, speeches and the cutting of the wedding cake!
Special guests on the day also included a reporter from the Derbyshire Times and a crew from Channel 5 news!

Edale school is one of the smallest in Derbyshire so no pupil was without a role in this special occasion, and with the help of staff, students , parents and local villagers it was a great way to end the term!
